Up to $1000 will be available in the form of a scholarship to support eligible students to participate in NT Sport education championships.
Eligibility
Any student selected in a Regional Team to compete at an identified Northern Territory sport education championship is eligible to apply for a scholarship.
To be considered applicants must:
- apply using the Friends of School Sport application form,
- demonstrate financial hardship,
- meet the application deadlines. No late applications will be considered.
Application process
Students and their families will be informed of the availability of scholarships and the application process upon selection in a regional sport education team. Applications received after the specified due date will not be considered.
Criteria
- Selection in a regional team to compete at an NT sport education championship or development camp
- Contribution of a minimum of $100 to the event levy
- Demonstrated financial hardship (may include being a health care or other card holder)
- Principal letter of recommendation
- Student commitment statement
